How this tool works

Paste a sitemap URL (often /sitemap.xml) or your homepage and we will look for a sitemap. You will see how many loc entries we parsed, then results for a sample — not a status check of every URL if the list is long.

What we check

  • Valid sitemap XML and URL count
  • Duplicate and off-domain loc values
  • HTTPS vs HTTP in the list
  • A sample of URLs for status, canonical, noindex, and robots.txt

What we do not check

  • Ping Google or Bing to submit the sitemap
  • Confirm Google has processed the sitemap
  • Open every URL on a very large sitemap

Common questions

How do I check sitemap errors?

Paste your sitemap.xml into Voyzen Sitemap Checker. We parse the file, count URLs, and sample some of them to see if they load, redirect, or are blocked. We do not submit the sitemap to Google for you.

Why didn’t you check all 500 URLs?

Large sitemaps are sampled so the tool stays usable. The report always states the full count versus the sample size.
